Meet Our Sponsorship Cats

Our sponsorship program is to help offset the daily cost of cats who have been at our shelter for a year or more.  Interested in sponsoring a cat at The Scratching Post?   Check out the available cats below.​

Sponsorships are $25 per month per cat, $100 for 6 months per cat, or $200 a year per cat.  

Benefits of having a sponsor cat include:

- personalized birthday cards (if birth month/day is provided)

- Christmas/winter holiday card

- a few emails a year from your sponsored cat(s)

       updating you on the happenings at the shelter

Black Pepper

Black Pepper is a senior feral girl who came to us after she was no longer safe living in her colony due to threats from a home owner’s association. She’s bonded to Longhaired Socks

Chocolate Chip is the last of Mama Sundae's litter.  He is a shy fella who Slowly warming up to hoo-mans.

Daisy loves, loves, LOVES attention and is often found on the chair just vaiting to greet visitors to her room.   She can be picky about her cat friends. She'll never turn down a treat.

DOB: 3/23/2022

Dandelion came to the shelter with his mom & siblings as strays. He will accept attention from his staff but can be shy around strangers.  He is bonded to his best friend named Eleven.

DiLuc

DOB: 12/24/2019

DiLuc is one spicy guy who is fast with the paws.  He loves to cuddle with his best buddy, Pine.

Named after Eartha Kitt, this spicy lady came to us as a new momma.  The kittens have since grown up and Eartha wants to be a solo artist and have nothing to do with humans.

Eggs Benedict

Eggs Benedict (AKA Bennie) started out as a shy boy but has made great strides in his acceptance of people.  He gets along very well with his roomies.

Eleven came to the shelter as part of a litter who has all been adopted. She's very timid and rarely allows anyone to pet her. She's bonded to her best friend Dandelion

Furina is one very shy little miss but she will allow you to give her small pets if you move slowly and speak softly of her beauty.

Georgie came to us when his owner’s were evicted. He’s very shy and prefers other cats to people. He was adopted and returned for pottying outside the litter box.

This shy boy came to us when his owner passed away.  He doesn't care much for humans but loves to cuddle up with Chocolate Chip and Angelica.

Jackie is a very shy girl who likes to greet visitors and staff with a hearty hiss. She will occasionally allow a very brief pet on her back but only if she is feeling generous.

A shy guy often found hanging out on the highest shelf he can find.  Jeckle will accept ear scratches if he deems you worthy.

This sweet fluffy female tabby  is epileptic and carrier of tritrichmonas.  She gets medication twice a day for her seizures and needs frequent brushing.

This very shy gal came to us as a new mama.  Her babies have been adopted but Mama June prefers to hang out in the bottom of the cat tree and occassionally mother some of the younger kitties in her room.

Longhaired Socks came to us with Black Pepper and Oreo.  This fella loves to lay on the windowsill and soak up the sunshine.

Lucky came to the shelter after his owner passed away.  He is an incredibly friendly boy but suffers from chronic sinusitis, resulting in frequent snot left behind.  We don't mind cleaning up after this special boy or administering the necessary antibiotics when needed.

Martha is the undisputed Queen of the Laundry Room!  even though she has been diagnosed with a  heart murmur, she still takes her duties of supervising the volunteers very seriously.

Matilda and her brother, Milton, are bonded siblings who came to the shelter as strays. They are still very nervous with people and prefer the company of one another over anything else.

Milkshake is very difficult to photograph.  He has cerebellar hypoplasia making him wobbly.  He loves people but isn’t fond of other cats.

This handsome, slightly cross-eyed boy is bonded with his sister, Matilda, who came to the shelter as strays. They are still very nervous with people and prefer the company of one another over anything else.

Pine got his name because he came to us during the Christmas season.  He is a sweet but shy fella who is often found curled up in a cubby in front of his friend, DiLuc.

Meet sweet Samhain!  He is a CH (cerebellar hypoplasia) kitty who is an absolute fan favorite of the shelter.

Scooby Doo suffers from chronic eye issues but he doesn't let that stop him from being an absolute lover boy!

Scrambled Egg is a little beauty who loves to show her running talents on the wheel- her staff thinks she may be trying out for the Olympics.

Super shy Taffy has tritrichomonas.  This lady has also had all of her teeth removed due to a medical condition but that doesn't stop her from chowing down at dinner time!

Zara is a short-haired black cat with the cutest most round face. She suffered from hyperthyroidism but had the radiation treatments to correct it.  This shy lady is the oldest in the shelter.
