and someone will contact you with shift availability. First time volunteer orientations are typically held on a mutually agreeable date.
​Typical Daily Volunteer Chores
Cleaning (windows, walls, carriers, brushing cat trees, etc.)
Sweeping outside catios, front offices, litter room
Folding towels/do laundry
Socializing the cats
Rinsing aluminum cans for recycling
Restocking supplies
Transport cats
Break down cardboard
​Special Projects for Volunteers
Remodeling our rooms. We are S L O W L Y updating our shelter room-by-room. We need volunteers willing to scrub walls, patch holes, sand that patch compound and paint the walls. ​We also need someone to replace a portion of drywall. If you are interested in helping with any part of this project, please email volunteer@thescratchingpost.org for further information.
