Giving
Tuesday
Hello, Scratching Post Fans! Gus here, December 3 is Giving Tuesday, a day of giving and I have been selected to host this year. We at The Scratching Post would like to focus on our Legacy Cats this year. What are Legacy Cats you ask? They are cats that are "adoption-challenged", including medically needy cats, cats with challenging personalities, and cats who may not always use the litter box. Since we are a no-kill shelter, any cat we take in is accepted for who they are and they have a place for us as long as it is needed.
This year our goal is to raise $5000 to help support these cats
Here are a few of the legacy cats currently in the shelter and their stories
I'm Gus, I am 10 years old. I came to the shelter when I was 4 months old. Staff was unable to socialize me
We have some success stories, too!
I'm Gabe! I was rescued from a kill shelter in central KY with a pelvic injury. I now enjoy my forever home with several kitty siblings
Helping our Legacy Cats can happen year round! Click HERE to learn more about our Legacy Cats and how to sponsor one (or two)!
